Among the most infamous was Musaylimah al-Kadhdhab, also known as Musaylima the Liar. He claimed to be a prophet in the region of Yamamah and even formed his own following. His rebellion led to the brutal Battle of Yamama, one of the bloodiest conflicts in early Islamic history. But Musaylimah was not alone. There were others like Sajah bint Al-Harith, a woman who claimed prophecy and temporarily allied with Musaylimah. Tulayha ibn Khuwaylid and Al-Aswad Al-Ansi also declared themselves prophets and led revolts before being crushed by the Caliphate.
