In 1660, Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's rule over Delhi was firmly established. To augment the Mughal treasury, heavy taxes were imposed on farmers. Under the leadership of Gokula Jat, farmers from Brajbhumi refused to pay these exorbitant taxes. Aurangzeb launched multiple military campaigns against the Jats but was repeatedly defeated. In December 1669, a fierce battle led to Gokula and thousands of Jats being captured and executed in Agra. The video delves into the story of Raja Rajaram Singh Sinsinwar, Gokula's successor, who not only avenged his father's death but also decimated Emperor Akbar’s tomb in retaliation. In 1670, Rajaram united the Sinsinwar and Chahar clans, opposing Mughal oppression. He skillfully led a rebellion, ambushing Mughal commander Lalbeg and fortifying his position in the region. Rajaram’s guerrilla tactics and strategic fortifications enabled the Jats to withstand multiple Mughal assaults. His audacity reached its peak in 1688 when he attacked Sikandra, desecrating Akbar’s and Jahangir’s graves. Though eventually martyred, Rajaram's legacy was carried forward by his son, Badan Singh, and later by the legendary Raja Surajmal, who established a new Jat kingdom and even assisted the Marathas post-Panipat battle. #JatKing #aurangzeb #RajaramSinsinwar #mughalhistory #indianhistory #jatt #mughalempirehistory #RajaSurajmal #surajmal
